Día 14 – lunes 20: Reikiavik - LONDRES Gatwick

Como llegar al centro: SOUTHERN RAILWAY to London Bridge. Trains run every 15 minutes and the journey takes around 35 minutes. 8,50 pounds (one way).

Llegamos al aeropuerto de Gatwick poco más tarde del mediodía.

Shakespeare's Globe Theater.
It is a reconstruction, then it was destroyed by fire in 1613, rebuilt in 1614, closed in 1642 and finally demolished in 1644.

Borough Market.
It is the London's most renowned food market.
 
 
Tower of London / White Tower (1066).
It is a historic castle.

Tower Brigde (1894).
 It is a suspension brigde over the River Thames.

City Hall (2006). 
It was designed by Norman Foster.

Monument (1677).
It is a Roman Doric Column, whitch commemorates the Great Fire of London in year 1666.

 30 St. Mary Axe - Gherkin (2003).
It is a skyscraper in the financial district City of London. It was also designed by Norman Foster.


  St. Paul's Cathedral (1710).
 It was built as a part of a major rebuilding program after the Great Fire.
  
 
Millenium Bridge (2000).
 By Londoners it is called the Footbridge.

Día 15 – martes 21: LONDRES


  • POR LA MAÑANA
London Eye (2000).
It is the tallest Ferries Wheel in Europe with a diameter of 120m.

 
 
Palace of Westminster / BIG BEN.
It is known as Houses of Parliament and it is part of a Unesco Word Heritage Site since 1987.

 
Westminster Abbey (1517).
 It is a large mainly gotic church and it is a traditional of royal coronation.

 
 
 
St. James's Park / Buckingham Palace (1850).
It is the official London residence and the principal work place of the British monarch.

 
Hyde Park. 

 
Bond Street.
It has been a fishionable shopping street since the 18th century and is currently the home of may high price fashion shops.

  Piccadilly Circus (1819).
It is a road junction particulary known for its video display and neon signs mounted on a corner building.

  Trafalgar Square and The National Gallery.
 The name of this square commemorates the British naval victory of the Napoleonic Wars over France in 1805.

Covent Garden.

  • POR LA TARDE

 
Leicester Square.
It is the centre of London's cinema and theatre land.

Chinatown.
The present Chinatown as a part of the Soho area did not start to be established until the 1970s.

Soho.
This is a small multicultural area in the centre of London, a home to commerce, culture and entertainment as well as a trendy residential area.
 
 Oxford Street.
It is one of the busiest shopping streets in Europe.

Día 16 – miercoles 22: LONDRES Stansted - Bilbao

Aprovechamos la mañana para recorrer algunas de las calles y parques de Notting Hill.

  
 

It is a cosmopolitan district known for being home of the Portobello Road Market and the romantic film with Julia Roberts and Hugh Grant.

Como llegar al aeropuerto de Stansted: TERRAVISION from Vitoria Station or Liverpool Street. Buses runs every 30 minutes and the journey takes around 1 hour. 9 pounds (one way).
